Electronic Stores in Two States Offer Free Guns

"A chain of electronic stores in parts of the states of Idaho and Montana are offering free guns to first-time subscribers of satellite TV services.
The new promotions by combination RadioShack and Dish Network dealerships in western Montana and another in southwest Idaho have attracted crowds that range from the merely curious to the firearm-friendly."
More of the story here

Have you gotten your free gun yet, BB?

I was aware of this promotion. I really have a problem supporting it because of the fact that it is an electronics store promoting it. I am pro-gun ownership if it is done in a responsible manner. I cannot see this happening in my home state even though we have the right to conceal and carry a weapon.

I just hope that the customers who have obtained guns are people who have a for real and healthy respect for the weapon that they have obtained.

Heh! Its a pretty good selling strategy out in the boonies. But oddly,
after firing everything the
Army has and test shooting the last 30 years in the ammo business, I retired from firearms. Literally:
one choice at my retirement was a $1000 rifle which I turned down in favor of a set of Wedgewood china....takes
a real man to admit he prefers eating to shooting.
Heck, I'm so old I don't even fish anymore.
Another popular selling strategy in this area is the free side of beef with purchase...not sure if it was shot with a free gun though. :) ..and as usual, I have a lot of funny tales, even about guns.

Deb,
there are no absolutes in this world. if we be pro gun then we must accept the fact that there will always be someone who is irresponsible that will own a gun.

and as long as we remain aware of this fact then we will be prepared to meet the situation as we should.

tweety,
awww i wish i had been aware of that promotion. a ring plus a gun, now that conjures up a picture of shotgun weddings but it is the first time i heard of the prospective groom holding the shotgun. lol

BB,
we may be a little old to do actual fishing but it doesn't stop us from tossing a line out with an empty hook to make it look like we are fishing while we lay back with a beer in our hands and just enjoy what nature has provided.

then a smile crosses my face as he says,,ahhh preferring china over a gun might create a chauvinistic view of you, my friend, to some feminists.

for they might present it as you wanting to sit at that table eating the food your wife slaved over a hot stove to put on that brand new plate instead of you going out and providing the food by shooting some game. lol

You hear about all sorts of off beat ads. I guess anything to drum up business.
It sounds like one of those things you would read on an odd news site.

BTW,I removed my previous comment after a typo.
