Good News from Iraq

HEY EVERYBODY, SOME REALLY GOOD NEWS FROM IRAQ. A SUICIDE BOMBER TURNED HERSELF IN TO THE POLICE RATHER THAN BLOW HERSELF UP. THE STORY IS HERE ALONG WITH A VIDEO. BUT HAVE TO WARN YOU THE VIDEO VERSION SEEMS TO BE A TAD DIFFERENT FROM THE WRITTEN STORY.

SORRY THAT I CAN ONLY PROVIDE A LINK TO IT RATHER THAN THE VIDEO ITSELF.

I am just reading today mostly. But I like the new digs. I meant to say something last time I commented and forgot.

Hi, Griper.

Yes, I read about this. I'm very glad she turned herself in! It does prove there is resistance against al-Quaeda, but there's still horrible bombings going on. They do an excellent job of brainwashing over there, don't they? It is unbelievable to me that women who have been surpressed all of their lives and have had to bow down and practically worship their men would actually be willing to do this. I have to wonder if they are actually "willing" or are they being forced by threat of a more horrible death if they don't go along with this? One has to wonder!

awwww shuckens, ladies, iffen i was to know this earlier i would have redecorated sooner. lol

yes gayle it is scary. it shows just how vulnerable we are as human beings.

and yes, i believe there are those who do so willingly but not all as this girl illustrates, that is if she actually did turn herself in and wasn't caught before she had a chance to fulfill her mission.

i'll add my approval to the great new digs, my dear. and also the approval of this gal turning herself in. it was very brave for her to do so. i hope her trust and bravery have not been in vain...

heidi,
her actions have already paid dividends in the fight over there. think of the people who could have been killed or injured. a lot of people owe their lives to that young lady. the sad thing is that they don't know who they are nor do their families.
