Merry Christmas Everyone

The song featured for this holiest of days is called "The Bread of Angels". Panis angelicus is the penultimate strophe of the hymn Sacris solemniis written by Saint Thomas Aquinas for the Feast of Corpus Christi as part of a complete liturgy of the Feast including prayers for the Mass and the Liturgy of the Hours. The English translation for the song are as follows:

---------------------------------------------

The angelic bread
becomes the bread of men;
The heavenly bread
ends all prefigurations:
What wonder!
The Lord is eaten
by a poor and humble servant.
Triune God,
We beg of you:
visit us,
 just as we worship you.
By your ways,
lead us where we are heading,
to the light in which you dwell.

Amen.
--------------------------------

I hope you enjoy this beautiful rendition as I wish all to have a very
MERRY CHRISTMAS
and wish to say
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JESUS

Merry Christmas from the Lazy Farmer!
I just read my the Night before Christmas to my daughter a 75 year old little book. Must have been a new poem back then.
She was just in a Christmas Play about the birth of Jesus so we went for a secular Christmas Eve story.
