Pretty Much Sums up Liberal Economic Philosophy. Any Questions?

Then we might also add a demand to raise taxes in order to pay for the debt that was the result of putting this money into the economy. Yeah, that will work too. We stimulate the economy and balance the federal budget at the same time.  Makes perfect liberal sense, doesn't it?

Any Doubts as to the Wisdom of Government Put to Rest

Well. It is time to get back to some very serious stuff now. We all know how paternal governments are. Not only are they responsible for protecting us from others they also like to create laws to protect us from our own foolish decisions.

Shuckens, they'll even create laws to protect themselves against their own foolish decisions. Did you know that in London that it is illegal to die in the Houses of Parliament? Sounds to me like this would be a case where the defendant would be the judge, jury, and executioner before he ever went to trial.

Everyone has heard of the organization of M.A.D.D, mothers against drunk drivers. Well it seems as if their cause was heard about in San Salvador too. But do think they got a little too mad because down there a person caught driving drunk could end up before a firing squad.

And for all of you teenagers out there, here is a little tip. If you're drinking on the sly and live in Ohio, don't pour that bottle of gin in the fish aquarium so as to hide it from mom and pop. Its against the law to get a fish drunk there.

As for the feminist movement, i'd say you have more important things to protest about other than railing on Sarah Palin all of the time. You should gather your troops in Vermont and protest the fact that a woman must have her husband's permission before she can wear false teeth. Hmmm, now I wonder under what circumstances would a man prefer that a woman did not have her teeth in?

And here is one for all of you that intend on leaving the snow belt and going to Florida to live, especially females. Girls, beware, it is illegal for any unmarried woman to parachute on Sunday in Miami. Of course, this doesn't mean you can't have an abortion there, you just are not allowed to parachute. Ok, that law is understandable, right? Wonder if the environmentalists were the catalyst behind this law? Wouldn't want to have a female body splattered all over the ground on Sunday would we?

Does make you wonder about the wisdom of the voters though that would elect people who wrote these laws. And you wonder why the people of the Tea Party advocate for less laws. Can you imagine just how much time was wasted debating these issues before enacting these laws? :) I'll let you, the reader, decide just how wisely our leaders govern as we begin this week.

What Americans Do, What Canadians Do

Hey, my fellow Americans, our friends above the border think of us as being nothing but wimps down here. Are we going to take their insults? :)

Here are a few things they are saying about us.

Grandpa feels so Shamed

Standing behind grandpa as he was debating an issue with another person in a blog he suddenly chuckled at what his opponent was saying and I asked; "What’s so funny, grandpa."

Grandpa just pushed his chair back and said; "You can learn a lot in a debate if you know what to look for, boy. And today I just got a college education from all I learned from this debate. Ahhhhh, the arrogance of my ignorance was so openly revealed" Then he went quiet and chuckled once more.

I learned today that we overthrew a government that was saving lives by preventing religious factions from killing each other. Here I thought we overthrew a government that was found guilty of committing crimes against the people of Iraq.

" I learned today that decisions made and recorded are not facts. What they are, I have no idea but they are not to be considered as a fact.

I learned today that even if we are victorious in the war against the insurgents in Iraq Geo. Bush would still be defeated by world opinion.

I learned today that if you cite a source for your argument it is your credibility that must be questioned before your source is acceptable. Here I thought you questioned the credibility of the source before an arguement was acceptable.

I learned today that if you praise a soldier for accomplishing his mission, that is stroking his ego. Here I thought it was giving him a compliment.

I learned today that the definition of an insurgency does not tell me the intent of the insurgent and that I have no idea of his intent. Here I thought he was defined as an insurgent because it declared his intent.

I learned today that the word lost depicts the end result of a future conclusion of a war not the end result of the conclusion of a past war as I was taught.

I learned today that refusing to continue a debate instead of answering an unsubstantiated allegation about myself is being cowardly."

Then grandpa just looked at me with twinkling eyes and then leaned forward, placed his head in his hands and mockingly whispered "Ohhh the shame I feel. How will I ever live this down"

I just chuckled.
